Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the OCR?

Sharp, straight, well-lit printed text typically reads at 95%+ accuracy. Tricky handwriting, heavy shadows and tiny fonts lower it — always proofread names, numbers and dates.

Does Urdu OCR work well?

Printed Urdu (Nastaliq print/Naskh) reads respectably, and better from clean book/newspaper scans. Handwritten Urdu is still hit-or-miss for every OCR engine, not just ours.

How can I get better results?

Fill the frame with the page, avoid glare/shadows, shoot straight-on (not at an angle), and pick the correct language. For screenshots, results are usually near-perfect.

Is there a page limit like other OCR sites?

None — since your own device does the reading, there are no credits or '3 free pages a day' tricks here.
